Cubs vs. Sox at Wrigley Field.  Chicago vs. Chicago.  Northside vs. Southside.  Nachos vs. Hot dogs.  Baseball!  Tickets were hard to come by, and I was lucky to get invited to come watch the game from the outfield bleacher seats and mingle with the most intense/drunkest fans.  I had a great time at the game, even though it meant that I wasn’t the most diligent photographer… but I know now that I would really like to photograph the crowds and people around sporting events.  

Well, late this afternoon I got a new battery charger - no thanks to Leica.  They made it seem like replacing my defective charger under warranty would be quick and painless, but, after shipping the damn thing overnight only to endure several days of waiting with no word, I finally went out and bought a new one at Calumet.  Tomorrow is going to be an interesting shooting day, and I can’t afford to miss it… So, new daily photos start up again on Monday.  In the meantime, more commuters!

As I wait for Leica to send me a replacement battery charger, here is more work from the last month-  more commuting and shopping, all Chicago.  I hope new daily shooting posts will resume on Monday…

Well, I didn’t get my battery issues resolved, so I’m camera-less for the next several days.  But that doesn’t mean I won’t keep posting…  I have plenty of work to share from the last couple weeks here in Chicago - some might actually be stronger than what I’ve already put up here.  Regularly scheduled shooting will return in a few days - meanwhile, there are still plenty of photos to share.  (I can’t believe I didn’t even make it a week before missing a day of shooting.  Stupid, cheap battery charger…stupid, cheap One Hundred and Fifty dollar battery charger.)

Anybody know how to fix an M8 battery charger?  Mine’s not working - I shot 20 frames Sunday with the fumes left in one of my batteries.  There’s a possibility that I may not be able to shoot today.  Bleh.
