Okay, I got sidetracked from street shooting yesterday because Salman Rushdie was in town and I decided to nerd it up and spend the afternoon at the Chicago Public Library waiting to hear him read from his new book The Enchantress of Florence. I brought a copy of The Ground Beneath Her Feet and was officially number 417 in line to get it autographed. Earlier in the day Mr. Rushdie’s book Midnight’s Children was named as the best novel to ever win the Booker Prize, so that added extra dorkish thrill to the proceedings.
